Intel(R) Wifi 6 AX201 160Mhz not working

Hello,

I have looked through your forums and tried a clean install and tried updating drivers but this network adapter keeps failing randomly. At times it will stay on for hours and then other times I have to reset 4-5 times in an hour.

It could be that I am nto doign the process correctly but I have tried this a couple of times and it isn't working.

I have also included the txt from the SSU at this link.

Hopefully you can help - I have school, business, and personal operations that keep getting interrupted.

Thanks!

Hello Cesmith,

Thank you for posting in our communities.

Please perform the cold reboot first. The cold reboot is part of the troubleshooting steps in resolving errors with Intel Bluetooth® or wireless (Wi-Fi) devices.

Please follow the instructions on the link below on how to perform a cold reboot:

How to Perform a Cold Reboot for Laptops and Desktops Equipped with Intel Bluetooth® or Wireless (Wi-Fi) Devices

If the issue still persists after trying out the cold reboot, please try the troubleshooting steps outlined on this link: Intel® Wireless Adapter Keeps Disconnecting from the Network.

And if the issue still persists, please share a photo of your device manager showing the network adapter section.

We look forward to your response!

Thank you, and have a great day ahead!

To Confirm:  Uninstall adapter - perform cold reboot - install newest driver?

Or just perform the cold reboot, plug everything in and see what happens?

Thanks!

Hello Cesmith,

This is correct: "perform the cold reboot, plug everything in and see what happens?"

However, please still use this article for your reference:

I have the same problem as Cesmith with my new laptop: Dell Inc. XPS 17 9730, 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900H, Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (64-bit) version 23H2 10.0.22631. I have performed a clean installation of the latest wireless drivers

  • Version 23.40.0.4
  • Date 3/10/2024

I have the Recommended Settings for 802.11ac Connectivity which is supported by my Access Point.

The BIOS version is 1.11.0 version of March 2024.

All windows update are applied 23H2 Windows 11 PRO, latest build 22631.3527

Problem description:

The Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz, latest driver version 23.40.0.4 keep dropping the speed as soon as your are less than 10 feets away from the internet box

The speed link fells from 866Mbps to 250Mbps and start disconnecting constantly. teams and zoom experiences are terrible.

Laptop cold reboot with a non-removable battery has been performed too.

I have a macbook and a samsung laptop and both have not such wifi disconnection issues.
