Intel WiFi 6 AX200 is connecting only every other time I turn on the computer

Hi there—

Two and a half years ago, after almost one year of being isolated due to the pandemic,  I finally built my own computer.  The AX200 was recommended to me by a very  knowledgeable hardware engineer acquaintance.

The AX200 works fine, but I have one tiny problem with it that is just annoying: it only turns on every second time.  I'll turn on the computer, have no wifi; I'll shut down the computer, count to ten, press the power button again, and I have wifi.

I've done everything that is suggested on this WikiHow site (https://www.wikihow.com/Manually-Reset-Your-Wireless-Adapter-in-Windows), and the problem persists.

Any suggestions?

Stef

Hello, @StefC

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I understand that you have wi-fi connection issues.

To assist you properly, is the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 the pre-installed wi-fi card in your PC or was it an integration done by yourself?

Best regards,

Hi Jocelyn,

I installed the AX 200 myself.

Several times I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it hasn't fixed the problem.

Thank you,

Stef

Hello, @StefC

Thank you for the information provided.

It is worth mentioning that Intel does not support wireless integrations (installing or integrating a wireless adapter into your system/laptop). We recommend you speak to the Manufacturer of your equipment for support on wireless integrations and replacement parts to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of your country and support. It is important to check for compatibility with the System Manufacturer, as there could be certain cards that will not work with the system.

For more information, read the following article under the title "Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

This … doesn’t make sense. “Intel does not support wireless integrations”—but
Intel *is* the manufacturer of the AX200, which is (checks notes) an ‘Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200’.

What the **bleep**.
