After replacing an existing Comcast router with an ARRIS TG4482A (forced upgrade) my Lattitude e5440 with an Intel dual band AC-7260 fails to detect any of the new router's AP's. I've updated the Intel drivers and done everything else I could think of but no joy. The router is visible to other devices and the WiFi card sees other nearby 5.2GHz and 2.4GHz ARRIS TG4482A AP's, and it connects to local Xfinity hotspots with no issues.
As a last resort, I split the router's combined WiFi bands into seperate AP's but even though I've read that the AC-7260 sometimes can't see combined-band access points it didn't help. Comcast threw their hands up and declared that since the router passes their diagnostics and other devices can connect, that it's not their problem. They also refuse to allow me to reactivate the old router even though it worked fine for my purposes.

When you say you updated the drivers, what package did you use? The final package release that actually provided drivers for this adapter was v21.10.1 (and final driver version was 18.33.17.1). Any higher numbered package did not contain a driver for this adapter and thus would not update the driver installed. The same goes for the Bluetooth drivers. The final package release for this adapter was also 21.10.1 (but final driver version was 20.100.5.1).
I have a share where I am, for now, maintaining the final driver release packages for all of the discontinued adapters. Intel, in all their wisdom, decided to not continue to provide these drivers on their web site. Here is a link to this share: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-j-tQ34BdSDv6y1BFsg?e=7gn50T. You want the packages in the "Wireless-N 7260 and Wireless-AC 7260, 3160" folder.
Hope this helps,
