The hardware I have is described as…

Intel(R) Killer(TM) Wi-Fi 7 1750i (BE201) 2x2 + Bluetooth 5.4 Wireless Card

When I try to install the latest version of Intel® Killer™ Performance Driver Suite

The installation fails saying no compatible hardware found.

Can anyone please help me resolve this?

Hello xavier65frans,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

I understand you're experiencing installation issues with the Intel® Killer™ Performance Driver Suite, where the installer fails to detect your Bluetooth 5.4 wireless card despite meeting the specifications.

To provide you with the most accurate solution, please create your own thread with the following information:

  • Exact wireless card model number
  • System specifications (motherboard, OS version)
  • Complete error messages from the installation failure
  • Intel SSU log file showing your system configuration

This will help us analyze the compatibility issue more effectively.

Looking forward to your response.

Sincerely,

JeanetteC.

Dear Jeanette

Thank you for your reply.

My laptop model is called Dell XPS 9350.

My manufacturer lists my system specifications for the wireless card as given below…

The current version of killer intelligence centre shows the following info for version in the bottom right…

pierrerreip_1-1766820599210.png

Device manager shows the current driver details as follows…

pierrerreip_2-1766820599214.png

Intel® Driver & Support Assistant keeps telling me to update to the version given below…

pierrerreip_3-1766820599216.png

But every time I run the installer it says no compatible hardware found as seen below…

pierrerreip_4-1766820599219.png

It makes sense that the installation will fail, as the page the driver is listed on, lists the following hardware as supported which does not include my card which is recognised as BE201.

Why does Intel detect this card as compatible with this driver and ask me to update to this version if it is not compatible with the hardware?

As requested, I have attached a full report generated by SSU to this email.

Thanks & Regards

Pierre

Hello pierrerreip,

After reviewing all the information you provided, I've noted the following key points that I'd like to highlight:

  1. Your Dell XPS 13 9350 is equipped with an Intel BE201 wireless adapter.
  2. This hardware configuration is confirmed both in your Device Manager and in your screenshot (pierrerreip_2-1766820599214.png).
  3. I can see that Intel Driver & Support Assistant continues to prompt you to install the "Intel Killer Performance Suite" update (pierrerreip_3-1766820599216.png), but when you attempt the installation, you encounter the error "Killer Performance Driver Suite UWD says no compatible hardware found" (pierrerreip_4-1766820599219.png). This error occurs because your system lacks any Intel Killer hardware components. As you correctly identified, this incompatibility stems from the software being designed for different wireless adapter hardware than what you currently have installed (pierrerreip_5-1766820599221.png).

The cause of the "Warning: There is no compatible hardware detected" error message when installing the Intel® Killer Performance Suite may be one of the following:

  • The wireless device that you are trying to install the suite for is not supported by the suite. The Intel® Killer™ Performance Suite only supports certain models of Intel® Killer™ Wireless and Intel® Killer™ Ethernet products,
  • The wireless device that you are trying to install the suite for is disabled or not connected to your system, or
  • The wireless device that you are trying to install the suite for has outdated or corrupted drivers or firmware.

It is recommended to use the Dell auto update to check the compatible supported drivers and applications that you can install on your computer since our Intel DSA only detects generic drivers and applications.

How to Resolve This:

1) Disable the notification:

  • Open Intel DSA settings
  • Look for notification preferences
  • Disable alerts for Killer products

2) Uninstall if present:

  • Check Programs & Features for any Killer-related software
  • Uninstall if you don't need it

Alternative: Simply ignore the notification if your current networking is working fine. You may check How to Turn Off Specific Update Notifications from Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA).

The notification is likely a false positive due to hardware detection algorithms being overly broad.

Should you have any additional questions, please let me know.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.
