Hello,
I have a laptop with the Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz network card and a TP-Link Deco S7 (AC) mesh system. I'm experiencing an issue where the Wi-Fi adapter only connects to the network if I configure the router to use 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) mode. When the network is set to 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) mode, the AX211 cannot connect at all — the connection fails every time.
Is there a known compatibility issue between the AX211 and 802.11ac networks?
Are there any driver settings, firmware updates, or advanced configurations that can help resolve this?
Thank you in advance for any help!

Hello sergiocalmon,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:
- What is the brand and model of the laptop?
- Was it working fine before?
- What was the last change made before the issue started?
- Did you manually installed this AX211 to your system or this is the embedded wireless controller?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

My laptop model is a Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra.
It has never worked properly with an AC (Wi-Fi 5) network — it only connects using 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4).
There were no changes made before the issue started, as it has behaved this way since the beginning.
The Intel AX211 wireless controller came pre-installed as part of the system; I did not install it manually.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Sergio

Hello sergiocalmon,
Informamos que só posso ajudá-lo em inglês. Usei uma ferramenta de tradução da web para traduzir essa resposta, então pode haver algumas traduções imprecisas. Seguindo em frente, responderei em inglês.
Thank you for sharing the information requested from you. To further check the root cause of the issue, please help share the additional details below:
1) Please confirm if this is the exact Deco S7 Home Mesh WiFi system you have: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/deco/deco-s7/#overview
2) Can you confirm if you are having issues when directly connected to the AP?
3) Additionally, I highly appreciate you sharing your system configuration so I we can fully check and provide you with an accurate fix. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.
- Scan: Check the box Everything.
- Click Scan.
- Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
- Click Save. *Attach the SSU log file as you reply.
Please also check the Recommended Settings for 802.11ax Connectivity.
I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.
