Resolved the issue myself, posting solution here for future help for folks. I entered netsh wlan show drivers in a command prompt to check on them and when I did it stated "The Wireless AutoConfig Service (wlansvc) is not running." I checked Services and found the WLAN service and it was off. I enabled it and voila, I can now hotspot. Tested it for a solid thirty minutes now without issue.
