Hello UUser13,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We understand that you are looking for Intel® Wireless Adapters supporting standard 802.11ax with PCIe Half Mini Card (HMC) form factor or Intel® Wireless Adapters supporting Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) and Bluetooth version 5.

Some models were manufactured with the option of both form factors (HMC and M.2), however, Intel® no longer manufacture wireless adapters in HMC form factor. The form factor available for new Intel® Wireless Adapters like the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 Module is M.2, formerly known as the Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF). M.2 dimensions may vary, for instance, M.2 2230, M.2 1216, etc.).

Previous Intel® Wireless Adapters like Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 does not support WPA3. The following Intel® Wireless Adapters support WPA3-Personal (aka WPA3-SAE) on Windows® 10 (May 2019 Update):

  • Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201
  • Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9560
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9462
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9461
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9260

For information please refer to Support for Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) on Intel® Wireless Adapters

Regarding Bluetooth* version 5, this is supported on the latest Intel® Wireless Adapters:

  • Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201
  • Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9560
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9462
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9461
  • Intel® Wireless-AC 9260

Also, wireless antennas are generally provided by each Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), as they will need to fit each computer's chassis. Antennas are also subject to country-specific legal regulations and may be found in different gain and power configurations. In case you are planning to upgrade the wireless adapter that came originally pre-installed on your device (laptop, desktop PC, tablet) we recommend you to check with OEM and review the Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade.

Hello Andrew,

its looks for me like the follow:

  • Intel still dont produce WiFi 200ax card with HMC mini pcie
  • its looks like its not possible to find BIOS updates for Intel 6200, 6300 and 7260 cards with a newer Bios like with WPA3 and BT5
  • actual are no Intel AX cards available for PCIe Half Mini Card (HMC) form factor
  • actual are no adapter available to adappt Intel AX 200 NGFF 12mm cards to PCIe Half Mini Card (HMC) form factor on market (ngff 16mm card adapter to full size Mini Card (HMC) form factor are available on some china markets)

Its looks i have to look for other vendor for wifi cards.
