Programmatically accessing Intel Centrino adapter state

Hi,

Intel PROSet Wireless Connection utility is able to access the actual state of the Intel Centrino network adapter and state of the wireless hardware switch (present in many laptops, such as thinkpads).

Is there an Intel API through which this information can be retrieved?

I am attaching a screenshot as well.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

The Intel® PROSet Wireless Software is provided with such functionality as you can see it; however, the information you request regarding the API is not publicly available and is not meant to be disclosed.

We recommend you to contact the computer manufacturer since they usually provide a software tool, hardware switch or key combination for this same purpose.
