Where could I find recommended properties settings to get the full 802.11 ac advantage.

I am getting 866 Mbps right now as the max but it does seem to drop now and then.

You're running at the highest speed that 7260 can provide which is 866.7 Mbps. The speeds drop down to lower than 866.7 Mbps due to distance, signal to noise ratio, and WiFi interference factors.

Oh. Then I had better leave well enough alone. Thanks.

Hello tmgrood,

You can find this information in the document: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/sb/CS-030709.htm?wapkw=wifi+recommended+settings What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?

The properties mentioned there are good for 802.11ac as well as 802.11n.

There are some additional recommendations that may help:

- Go to the Windows* Power Options - Power plan and make sure the Wireless adapter is set to Maximum Performance, when plugged in and on battery.

- Under the http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-025393.htm Advanced Wi-Fi Adapter settings, you will find the value: U-APSD support. This is a feature related to power consumption. We have identified interoperability issues with certain access points that may result in reduced throughput.

You might want to switch between disabled/enabled, test the connection and choose the mode that works better in your environment.

- If you have devices using 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, it is best to create a different SSID for each band.
