Speed Issues Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

Hello,

I am facing issue's with above device on my Dell Lattitude E5440 (Windows 7, 64bit).

Device is connected to my WiFi router, and according to the Network and Sharing center connected through 802.11n with a speed of only 54mbps.

However using the Intel PROset/Wifi Connection Utility program and reviewing connection details, the device is connected to the router on band 802.11g .

AS7260 driver version 17.0.5.8 (18-6-2014) is installed.

Furthermore note that with other laptops significant higher speeds are achieved (130Mbps) on 2.4GHz band.

Could someone assist me in getting this issue resolved??

Thanks in advance!

Hello HBaai,

We will sure be more than glad to help you with this issue, and in order to so, could you tell us if the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 came installed in this computer when you bought it or was it installed later? Here are some recommendations you can try in order to improve your connection. http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/sb/CS-030709.htm?wapkw=wifi+recommended+settings Wireless Networking — What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?

If your computer came with this card installed when you bought it, we do suggest that you get the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer support web page: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/latitude-e5440-laptop/drivers Product Support | Dell US this would be the best option for the time being. Let us know later if this piece of information helped you to resolve the issue.
