Successful Upgrade To Intel WiFi6e AX411 (from AX201 for ideapad Gaming 3-15IMH05 Laptop - Type 81Y4

Hi, has anyone successfully upgraded to Intel's wifi6e AX411 adapter (from an AX201 dual band adapter) for ideapad Gaming 3-15IMH05 Laptop - Type 81Y4??

Any assistance or info as to whether the AX411 was successfully intalled and operating would be awesome.

Any info as to why it won't work would be beneficial too.

I have inquiries out w/ Lenovo and Intel....and Lenovo has not stated whether the AX411 has been tested w/ their products for compatibility for my laptop.

For this scenario, it is important to mention that when you install a wireless card on a laptop, that is what we called "Wireless Integration". The thing about that process is that there are a lot of components that come into play, like for example: board, wireless card, drivers, PCI adapters, antennas, m.2 ports, all those parts need to be fully compatible for the proper functionality of the Wireless connection. Thank you for your reply.  I am likely wrong, but the AX411 is the same product as  "The Killer" Intel AX1690 (Formerly Garfield Peak?).

The order code for the AX1690 is AX411.NGWG.NV; which seems to be an odd coincidence in ordering nomenclature.  Lenovo is using the AX1690/AX411 in combination with I5 and I7 CPUs for some time now.

So, it seems that Lenovo should be able to easily update for the BIOS for the ideapad Gaming 3-15IMH05 Laptop - Type 81Y4 to accept the AX411 as a compatible WiFi6e adapter in lieu of the AX201.

Has Intel been in communications with Lenovo in adding the AX411 to their BIOS White List??

In reference to your question, even though the Intel® Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1690 card and Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX411 have similar specifications they are not the same product:

We can not validate integrations on third-party products, so in this case, the next thing to do will be to get in contact directly with Lenovo Support in order to verify the compatibility of the parts, they are the only ones that will be able to validate the integration process.
