You do understand that we are talking about something released in 2010, right?
Product Spec. Summary is here: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/59471/intel-centrino-advancedn-6205-dual-band.html.
I couldn't find the Product Brief online, so I have attached the copy of this document that I have in my archive.
Bottom line, 802.11a/b/g/n, max. 300 Mb/s, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
Intel isn't hosting drivers for discontinued adapters any longer. Luckily, I saved drivers for most of these adapters. You can download them from my Legacy Wireless Drivers share. Start here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtacZBU04mo-j-tQ34BdSDv6y1BFsg and then look for 6205 in subfolder name.
Hope this covers it,

Thank you for this solution to 2010 technology. It is now 2025 (almost 26!) I have a (may I say it out loud?) A cherished 2011 Dell Inspiron, that was purchased new with as much hard drive space, bells and whistles, etc. as was available back then. A powerful, hard worker for it's day. In about 2013, a computer geek friend of mine souped it up and swapped out the hard drive for a solid state. What a gift! Not long after that fiber optics came to my neighborhood. I had a flying spaceship for a really long time! The two of us (this beloved Dell and I) have worked so many years together. I know the end is near...but still I hang on. (sniff)
Now, I am having WiFi adapter issues it seems. The Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6205 is still running WiFi for me....on saved WiFi networks with saved passwords, but it will not accept any new passwords. It still finds new / available WiFi, but again somehow "can't connect" with any new passwords.
Long story to say....do you think there is any hope that this published solution that you so generously offered and apparently has been used by many....any hope that it might still work as a solution for my old work horse? Thank you for your thoughts.
