I seem meet some problems, i'm the EVO laptop equipment with win11-24h2,CPU: i9-13905h ,NVIDIA 4060 laptop version.

I found ICPS on the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant website(https://www.intel.cn/content/www/cn/zh/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html) display that the ICPS driver could be upgraded, which proves that my hardware supports ICPS. So I chose to install and upgrade. However, the following error occurred during the installation process. May I ask how I can solve it? Is it because my computer lacks some necessary software or drivers? I haven't found any other available updates on the Intel-Support website(https://www.intel.cn/content/www/cn/zh/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html).

Moreover, during the installation process, only the CMD window popped up and there was no error display. When the progress bar reached 100%, a pop-up window told me that the installation had failed. The following is my device configuration:Snipaste_2025-05-29_14-17-04.pngSnipaste_2025-05-29_14-34-46.pngSnipaste_2025-05-29_14-54-41.png微信图片_20250529141601.jpg微信图片_20250529141606.jpg

Hello ajklasdg,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

For me to address your concern properly, please share the information below.

1. What is the full model of your laptop? If possible, kindly share the link to it.

2. Are you experiencing any connectivity issues right now?

3. What made you do the update?

4. How did you install the previous driver version?

I look forward to your response.

model of my laptop: Lenovo LAPTOP-YOGA-IRP - 83BY0000CD(https://newsupport.lenovo.com.cn/products_index.html?fromsource=products_index&selname=YogaPro%2016s%20IRP8%20(2023%E6%AC%BE)

I 'm located in the Chinese mainland, so the official website of Lenovo laptops I provided is for the Chinese mainland. From I know,in other parts of Asia, this laptops of similar models may be the Lenovo YOGA Pro9i, which can be used as a reference.

The problem that ICPS failed to install successfully still exists, but the wireless network connection of the computer is working fine now.

I found ICPS on the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant website(https://www.intel.cn/content/www/cn/zh/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html) display that the ICPS driver can be upgraded,so I ....click the "download" button to start

Maybe... yesterday was the first time I downloaded and installed ICPS? Because I had never seen this software before and had no impression of it.

Hello ajklasdg,

Thank you for sharing all this information.

To investigate further, can you please provide the current wireless driver version installed on the system? Kindly generate SSU report and share it here, for me to check your system configuration and components.

Also, have you tried installing ICPS directly from "Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite (ICPS) for Intel® Wireless Products, and Intel® Connectivity Manager (ICM)" and do the same issue persist?

According to the ICPS Release Notes, it's crucial to verify that before installing Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite (ICPS) version 40.25.3240, the platform has Intel® Wi-Fi drivers (version 23.130.0 or newer is recommended) and Intel® Management Engine drivers installed.

I look forward to your response.

here is my SSU report and the Wi-Fi drivers ,as shown in the picture below. .I upload the file to attach ,can you open or browse it?

I tried installing ICPS directly from "Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite (ICPS) for Intel® Wireless Products, and Intel® Connectivity Manager (ICM)" and display the same issue ,as shown in the picture below

Maybe... the real reason is that I haven't installed the Intel® Management Engine driver(https://www.intel.cn/content/www/cn/zh/download/682431/intel-management-engine-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html). I downloaded and opened the zip file (Intel R ME SW_ 2514.7.1 6.0.zip) from the Intel® Management Engine driver website. There are many files in it, however, I really don't know which one is absent Snipaste_2025-06-02_14-09-16.pngSnipaste_2025-06-02_15-06-02.png or which module I should install.

Thank you for your search, investigation and reply. I have tried to install Intel® Management Engine drivers. In the file "Intel(R)_CSME_SW_Installation_Guide.pdf", there is an introduction to How to Install CSME Software. However, the key problem is that I really don't know which one is missing or which module I should install. Looking forward to your prompt reply and Intel's update. Thank you for replying to the problem I encountered .If there is any progress or news, please reply to me promptly ,thanks.

Hello ajklasdg,

After further investigation, we can say that for issues like this, you need to confirm with Lenovo whether licensed OEM platforms with specific wireless products are fully compatible with ICPS.

Upon reviewing the SSU logs, we did not find any information regarding ICPS, and a search on the OEM website for this laptop's serial number did not reveal any ICPS OEM driver either.

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-pro-9-16irp8/83by/83by0000cd/pf4q75n2/downloads/

Therefore, we recommend removing IDSA and installing the Lenovo Vantage driver update tool to scan the system. Capture a screenshot of the ICPS OEM recommended driver package and software version, including the Intel Management Engine Drivers version.

For reference, you can check our Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite System Compatibility article. You should verify the ICPS software version and Intel Management Engine Drivers for Windows 11 version in Device Manager and the software list, ensuring they match the OEM driver version.

To check the Intel ME version, follow these steps:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Locate and expand System devices, then find Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.
  • Double-click Intel(R) Management Engine Interface, select "Driver," and note the ME driver version.

If the Lenovo Vantage tool does not detect the ICPS driver and the IME driver does not match in IDC, please contact Lenovo Support or perform a manual clean install from the previous ICPS software package version 40.25.2228.

We would also like to clarify this statement coming from you "Maybe... yesterday was the first time I downloaded and installed ICPS? Because I had never seen this software before and had no impression of it."

If this is the first time that you downloaded ICPS and you do not use this software, we suggest that you remove it to avoid any further issues.

Haha, got it .I've uninstalled both IDSA and ICPS from my computer and switched to using Lenovo Vantage instead. Thanks for your investigation, responses, and suggestions! Just kidding - it really does feel like debugging code sometimes. If it works, leave it alone; add a new snippet, and suddenly you've got new issues to fix!

Regarding the Management Engine, here's the relevant info for my device (see below). I downloaded and extracted the zip file (Intel R ME SW_ 2514.7.1 6.0.zip) from the Intel® Management Engine driver website (https://www.intel.cn/content/www/cn/zh/download/682431/intel-management-engine-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html), and here's what's inside.  Do I need to make any operation to install ".inf" documents? I  don't know which one is missing or which module I should install. Or should I just ignore it like ICPS?.

Looking forward to your guidance! Thanks again.

Hello ajklasdg,

Upon further analysis, we have determined that ICPS is not supported on your system, as there are no OEM drivers available on the manufacturer's website or through their driver tools. We recommend contacting your OEM directly for further assistance.

With this in mind, I will proceed to close this inquiry. Should you have any additional concerns, please feel free to submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
