Hi Von M.

I uninstalled Intel Killer properly to try to resolve the problem but it was impossible to reinstall it with the latest version.

I already encountered this problem a few months ago but forgot how I managed to solve it.

Kind regards.

Nic

Hello NicGroover,

Thank you for providing the screenshots illustrating the issue. I understand that you attempted to resolve it by uninstalling, but encountered difficulties reinstalling with the latest version. In some cases, issues with the Intel® Killer™ Performance Suite can be resolved by executing a clean install, rather than updating with the latest version while an older version remains installed.

Let's try a clean installation of the Intel Killer Performance Suite. Please follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest installer for your version of Windows*
    • Note: If you do not have Internet connectivity on the affected computer, you may need to download the appropriate installer to removable media, such as a USB thumb drive, using another device. If this is necessary, remember to copy the files to the affected computer before you begin, as the installer may not work correctly if started from external media. If you're using Windows® 10 Version 1803 and higher with one of the active Intel Killer Adapters, should download the installer from the Download Center.
  2. Uninstall the Intel Killer Performance Suite manually:
    1. Go to your Windows search bar.
    2. Type in and go to Apps & features.
    3. Find the Intel Killer Performance Suite from the list.
    4. Click the Intel Killer Performance Suite and select the option to uninstall.
    5. Restart your machine by clicking Start > Power > Restart.
  1. Once your computer has rebooted, access your temporary files folder and delete the contents
    1. Click Start.
    2. Type %temp% and press Enter. Your temp folder should open.
    3. Delete all files in the temp folder. These are all temporary install files and are safe to delete. If you receive a prompt saying that a file cannot be deleted, you can safely select Skip All.
    4. Close the temp folder
  2. Run the installer that you downloaded for the Intel Killer Performance Suite.
  3. Select Complete when asked to Complete Install or Custom Install. The software package only installs the Intel Killer Performance Suite and the device drivers.
  4. Follow the remaining prompts to complete the installation.
  5. The final part of the installation will involve forwarding you to the Microsoft Store* to download the Killer Performance Suite user interface. This is required to use the Intel Killer Performance Suite.
  6. Restart your machine if the installer requests a restart.
  7. Test to see if the issue is resolved.

Note: If you cannot install the latest Intel Killer Performance Suite because you receive an error that says that the current package cannot be installed with one of our older packages, even after using this clean install guide, or if you encounter any other issue with installing the latest Killer Performance Suite click here for our guide for using the Microsoft Tool for issues that block a program from being installed.

Hello NicGroover.

Thank you for patiently waiting.

I recommend installing this driver: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/intel-wireless-wi-fi-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html because the Killer Wireless-AC 1550 is based on the Intel 9260 chipset. Additionally, the SSU logs you provided indicate the presence of 9260NGW.

Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day!

My Laptop works without Inte killer so I will leave it as is.

Hello NicGroover.

Thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear that installing the drivers and updating Intel Drivers and Support Assistant resolved the initial alert after restarting your laptop. It's good to know your laptop is functioning well without it for now. Regarding the Intel Killer application, since we successfully installed this driver, and updated the Intel Drivers Assistant the issue was resolved, we'd like to know if you tried again the uninstallation and re-installation of the Intel® Killer™ Performance Suite. You may visit the links below for guidance:

Please let us know if these steps resolve the issue or if you encounter any difficulties along the way.

Hello,

I did the driver update from the Driver Assistant, which was done well. There is no longer an alert.

However, it is still impossible for me to instal Intel Killer Performance Suite, the click on the installation program does not launch any installation. I have no Killer Performance Suite program in my applications.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Hi, NicGroover.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like the driver update went smoothly, but, oddly, the Killer Performance Suite isn't installing. Let's troubleshoot that. Have you checked if there are any error messages or logs when you try to launch the Killer Performance Suite installer? If possible, kindly send us a screenshot or a video recording that shows when you're trying to install the Intel Killer Performance Suite file. This could help us isolate the installation issues with the Intel Killer Performance Suite.

Just to confirm, did you download the installer from the official Intel Website, and is it compatible with your operating system version? If so, may we know the exact version you're trying to install? This could help us in identifying the issue more accurately.

Hello Von M.

I can't install the verion KillerPerformanceSuite_35.24.5373_Win10-11x64. No error message, only the application does not start.

My Windows 11 is up to date and until this problem of updating Intel Killer drivers, the program worked without any problems.

Attached is a video of the program that I can't launch.

Best regards.

Hi, NicGroover.

Thank you for the update. I appreciate you attaching a video demonstrating the problem. This will help us better understand the issue you're facing. I viewed the screen recording and saw that there's no specific error message; the application simply does not start. Given that your Windows 11 is up to date and the program was previously functioning correctly before the Intel Killer driver update problem, this issue is indeed unexpected.

At this point, Let me investigate this matter further to determine the root cause and provide you with a resolution as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience while we look into this.

Hi, NicGroover.

Thank you for patiently waiting. Upon coordination, the current driver was v23.40.1.1 but the DC was v23.40.0.4. We'd like to know, what is the reason to install or upgrade from IDSA? Is there any issue with the wireless connection for v23.40.1.1?

Additionally, I'm interested in knowing the versions of your Killer Networking Software app and device manager. You can send us a screenshot similar to the example below. This information will assist us in pinpointing the issue effectively.

Hello, NicGroover.

I appreciate you for providing the screenshot of your version of the Intel Killer Performance Suite driver. It's great to hear that it's working smoothly for you. Reinstalling the application is generally not essential unless you encounter specific issues or are instructed to do so for troubleshooting purposes.

Furthermore, we'd like to understand the reason behind installing or upgrading from IDSA. Are there any issues with the wireless connection for version 23.40.1.1? I am also interested in knowing the versions displayed in your device manager. Furthermore, I noticed from the screenshot that your system language is set to French. Could you please provide translations into English?
