Hi all, thanks for letting me be here. I just wanted to ask a question. I was having a few problems with MyASUS saying there was a problem with the WiFi and it is an Intel WiFi chip.
I went and uninstalled the Intel driver in device manager including pressing the tick box in the prompt and then scanned for hardware changes but there was an exclamation mark now with unknown showing. I went onto ASUS’ product page specific to my laptop and found the Intel WiFi driver. I downloaded this and right clicked ‘run as admin’ and then installed the driver. I restarted the laptop and the WiFi worked and under device manager the exact same driver has been installed and displays like before. I am worrying though that doing this was harmful to my laptop. Did I do the steps ok? As I said, WiFi works perfectly but I’m not very technical. Any reassurance or advice would be great! Thanks.

Hi @OnlyAlex
If your WiFi works correctly and you have installed driver from OEM Download Page, I would not worry and leave it as is.
Any way you may read in Step 2 of Clean Installation of Wireless Drivers procedure, how to uninstall WiFi Driver.
