Wifi driver AX201 not working

My wifi driver (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160 MHz) has completely ceased to function. I've tried running the Driver Assistant tool multiple times, and installing the newest version of the driver has not helped at all. 
I'm not very technologically inclined and I'm having a really hard time understanding what to fix here.

Some relevant info: I have a Lenovo Yoga laptop running on Windows 11.

I suggest that you do a clean install. Here is the process:

  1. If you haven't already, download - but do not install just yet - the desired Bluetooth and WiFi driver packages for your adapter. Here are the current links for downloading these drivers: Wireless: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351 and Bluetooth: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18649
  2. Disable Internet access. Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless. Keep disabled until told to re-enable.
  3. From the Apps & Features applet, check for instances of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Intel Wireless Bluetooth. If none, skip to Step 6.
  4. Uninstall each instance of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and/or Intel Wireless Bluetooth that is present. When prompted, choose to "Discard Settings".
  5. Manually reboot your computer, keeping Internet access disabled throughout.
  6. From the Device Manager applet, check the Network Adapters section for an entry for Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and check the Bluetooth section for an entry for Intel Wireless Bluetooth that has an intel driver associated with it. If neither is the case, go to Step 10.
  7. Right click on the entry for Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and uninstall it, choosing to (checkmark) Delete the driver software for this device.
  8. Right click on the entry for Intel Wireless Bluetooth and open its properties. If it has an Intel driver associated with it, then uninstall it, choosing to (checkmark) Delete the driver software for this device.
  9. Go to Step 5.
  10. (Optional but recommended) Clean out all temporary files using the Windows Clean Disk tool. Ensure you have enabled cleaning of System Files. I recommend that you then checkmark all categories offered, even if no files currently in this category (so it leaves it set up for next invocation).
  11. (Optional but recommended) Clear each of your browsers' cache.
  12. Install the Bluetooth driver package (my rule: always install Bluetooth first).
  13. Install the Wireless driver package.
  14. Manually shutdown and reboot your computer.
  15. Reenable Internet access. Restore Ethernet cable and/or reenable wireless.
  16. Test.

I faced the similar issues and none of the Solutions worked.
I eventually managed to get it up and running by uninstalling the device and reinstalling it by installing the drivers for the AX200 card.
Everything works smoothly ever since....
Just dropping this here for anyone that is desperate enough to try it.

Hi All,

I was also facing on my ASUS TUF Laptp Wi Fi 6 AX201 160MHz adaptor Realtek ASUS-17 PCIe GbE Family Controller not connecting problem for more than a Month.

I followed the various solutions provided here, but to no avail.

The controller used to work for a few hours & then abrubtly stop working.

 

I followed the following short term solution for some time of Disabling & Enabling the Device in the Device Manager. After 1 or 2 Disables & Enables the Device used to work for a few hours to a few days.

 

A few months back I had noticed that a bottom screw of my Laptop had become loose and I had tightened it a few times. Now I saw that the screw was missing, must have dropped off without my realising.

 

On a hunch that this might be the real problem, I replaced the screw with a new one. Shortly after that the error message disappeared & for the last more than a week it has not appeared.

 

I delayed my response to confirm that the missing screw was the problem & my Laptop's behaviour suggests that it was the problem.

 

Best of luck to all those who find a missing screw, replace it & are rewarded with with a error-free working.

I Have Same problem with my Lenovo Yoga 7i, after all solution above is not working, i've try this and it's working adn solved my problem

 

1. Try uninstall driver from device manager

2. shutdown windows

3. unplug laptop battery socket for 2 minute

4. and plug it back

5. power up laptop

6. Reinstall Wifi driver from manufacture website driver.

7. it should be done...

 

This solution is working for me.... thx

Are we talking about Bluetooth here? It is certainly true that a reboot can result in the Microsoft Bluetooth driver being installed. But, if you are following my process, this cannot happen because you have internet access disabled. If you are not following the process exactly and thus Internet access is not disabled, then all bets are off; Windows Update is going to run, be able to access its servers, and will install the wrong package. Again.

As for Wireless, what you are seeing is not normal. This will need to be handled by the Intel agents. Until we prove otherwise, I would conclude that the card is bad.

P.S. All I see in your report is that there is no support for Intel Bluetooth currently installed.

No, we're talking about my Wi-Fi. I've never had any problems with my Bluetooth, and even with all the attempts to solve the problem with my Wi-Fi, my Bluetooth continues to work normally.

I followed your process exactly as you said, with the Wi-Fi disabled until the moment it asks to turn it back on, but I really believe that maybe the card is bad, as you said. I'll try to contact Intel agents about this.

Hey!

So, I do have a solution: cleaning. I saw on YouTube that it was the solution for many. My laptop was clean, but I specifically removed the wireless card to clean it very carefully. I did it at the end of November and it has been working normally since then.

I have played different games, on different platforms while using Discord and I haven't lost the signal anymore.

After the cleaning, the driver went automatically to the 22.150.0.3 version, I didn't updated and I'll only do it if it happens to stop working again. Hope it helps!
