Hello community,

I am using a All-In-One-PC with integrated Centrino WLAN 2230 on Windows 10. I noticed using the windows command "netsh wlan show interfaces" that the signal is weak at first but after a few retries it will climb to 99%

Signal Strength Average: 85,4

Is there a problem known why it takes some time to go to 99%? The problem is that a rather complicated script relies on a good signal strength by first try.

All energy savings were disabled.

Thanks,

Birgit

BirgitPoti,

Usually signal issues could be related to a plathora of factors such as, location of the router, distance between computer and router, other electronic devices such as cordless phone and microwaves can interfere with the signal. Check your physical environment. You have mentioned that this card was integrated, are you saying that this wireless adapter was installed after the PV was bought or did it come installed by factory? aleki_intel,

thanks for the hints.

The driver I use is the one that came with Windows 10 (called: 06.01.2015 // V 15.16.0.2). Can you please state if the

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® technology for Windows® 10 64-bit (JP)

Version: 18.1.1525.1445 (Latest)

package is a suitable driver for the Wireless LAN/Wifi? I'd like to install it (maybe it helps) but I am unsure if it only addresses Bluetooth capabilities.

The adapter came installed by factory.

Thanks,

Birgit

BirgitPoti,

Intel recommends to always use the drivers provided by the OEM as it may have costomized features that may not be included in the generic version found in our Download Center. If you are looking for specific features, you may consult with the OEM. Other than that, there is no restrictions on the drivers, just make sure you are installing the one made for your Intel® Wireless Adapter.
