Wireless-AC 7265 max speed is 400kb/sec

I just bought a new Dell laptop with the Ddual Band Wireless-AC 7265 and my max download speed is 400-500 kb/sec compared to the old laptop which game me 2-3 mb/sec download speed.

Please know that I am knew to all this, so I am kindly asking for help on how to solve this and get the speed I should be able to reach.

If you need more info then please just ask and I will try and find it.

Any help is much appreciated.

PC model, Operating System, Wireless adapter driver shown in Device Manager.

Access point model and firmware version.
