I had several issues on my notebook ASUS GL703GM with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with all lastest v2004 updates.
- connection laziness at the system startup.
- I wasn't able to connect to 2.4ghz wifi networks anymore.
- I wasn't able to change the router with the same wifi settings.
- and finally, I cannot connect to any known wifi. It continues to ask me the password...
I reset connections, TCPIP stack... but nothing.
My solution was uninstalling and removing wifi drivers until the Windows 10 2004 64-bits built-in ones (v21.10.2.2).
[<win>+x, select Device Manager, select the wifi card, right-click, select uninstall, and check 'remove drivers']
With these drivers, everything is working fine without any problem.
Then Windows Update applied v21.80 and the problems rose again.
Again I downgraded to v21.10.2.2 by the device manager, and the problems disappeared again.
As far as I could see, these problems are present at least in these versions:
- 21.40
- 21.80
- 21.90
- 21.110
- 21.120
A last detail that might help is that I have Core Isolation enabled.
Several days later, connection problems suddenly popped up... and I was forced to roll back to root drivers.
Yesterday I tried the latest Wifi drivers (22.30 64 bits) and they have the usual connection problems (on both 2.4 & 5ghz).
Again I had to roll back to root drivers...
Then I gave a look at the Reliability History report and I noted that I have a problem with Window Wireless LAN 802.11 Extensibility Framework crashing during the startup.
Looking at the Event Viewer I discovered that it is something related to INTELWIFIIHV08.DLL (found in my 'System32' folder).
After a short investigation, I discovered that it is a file included in the root driver package but not in the latest drivers.
I also noted that these crashes also occurred during my driver update test...
Then I re-installed the latest drivers, and I renamed the DLL.
After the reboot, my WiFi connection problems disappeared.
Up to now, the device appears working, fast, and responsive...
...Maybe I am lucky this time.

I have exactly the same problem. But the solution described does not work for me. I also found the INTELWIFIIHV08.DLL under System32. Which file has to be renamed? I would be very grateful for a hint. Thank you very much!
In my case, I renamed that file in something like (*.dll_) and rebooted.
This solved my problem.
ps: after 4-5 weeks, I deleted the renamed file.
In my case,
- I installed the latest drivers
- I went to the system32 and I renamed "INTELWIFIIHV08.DLL" into something like "_INTELWIFIIHV08.DLL_" (in this way you can always restore it with minimal effort).
- reboot.
- from this point, my WIFI started to work fine
It is about 3 months that I haven't connection problems anymore.
(after the first 2 running-fine weeks, I also deleted the renamed file)
Good luck
StefanoBordoni thanks for your replies.
I tried exactly these steps for several times without success.
Driver Version 22.50.1.1 on HP ZBook 17 G5 with Windows 10 Enterprise 21H1
Downgrade to driver version 21.10.2.2 = everything works fine.
Using a Ubuntu Live CD = everything works fine.
Should anyone still have an idea, I would be very grateful.
HP Support couldn't help me, so the Intel Community is my last hope.
... if you didn't already do, you can try the following steps:
- starting from v21.10.2.2, install latest drivers
- rename the file
- reboot
- try your wifi
- if it still doesn't work, you can try a 'network reset' from 'network & internet' settings (at the end of the page)
- reboot again
- try your wifi
If it still fails, you can try to look for some evident problem from Reliability Report.
Sometimes the antivirus might be corrupted or unstable, and removing it to re-install it from scratch can be a good idea.
Another idea can be viewing again the Reliability History report and look for any unusual event.
Another step I took when struggling with my wifi card was to buy a USB WiFi card as an 'option omega' solution.
The interesting side is that it is something you can use on any PC.
It took a LOT of working with the Intel support engineers but Intel was able to identify the problem with the 9560 driver and will be releasing a fix for this in November, 2021 driver update is what I was told.
New drivers are published today.
The change lot is not so clear but let's hope they include the fix.
The Intel Tech said the fix will not be out until Release 22.100.0. So I'm still waiting.
hmmm... it sounds like something around December/January driver release.
Finally v22.100.0 are published... and they seem working smoothly (for now).
PS: the funny thing is that 3 weeks ago I changed my flagship notebook ... with no Intel HW inside.
we spoke too early...
After only a day, the problem is again here.
I will revert to v21.80...
