Hi,
does anyone know what would be causing the wifi network driver to keep crapping out on my laptop. For 8 days now I am connecting to wifi but after a number of hours "out of the blue" the wifi driver encounters an issue and I get the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in device manager. It says in Properties that the device encountered a problem Code 43.
I have an ASUS Vivobook S533F laptop and I downloaded the latest Intel wlan driver 23.120.0.3 from the ASUS site along with the matching bluetooth driver. I manually installed the WLAN driver from my directory . For some reason it will not install their BT driver . It comes up that the folder (where I extracted the driver to) doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device.
Asus also has Realtek and Qualcomm wlan drivers but Windows 10 will not recognize either of these drivers . The only driver that it recognizes is Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz.
So, when I reboot the MS BT driver that comes with windows 10 gets installed. And everything works fine for many hours BUT then the wlan driver stops working again and the BT driver disappears from Network Adapter in Device Manager.
I am beginning to think the issue is the network card.

Hello bakenburn,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
I would like to know more about your system details to fully understand where the issue truly lies. Please confirm if this is the actual system device that you have (Or please share your system specifications link).
These errors in Device Manager for Bluetooth or Wireless (Wi-Fi) Devices can be caused by many different issues. Usually, a Code 10/43 error is a temporary error, generated when Device Manager can't start the hardware device. However this error is considered a generic message indicating an unspecified problem.
- Intel recommends that to proceed with clean installation of your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drivers. If you still get the error after reinstalling these drivers, then try the Intel generic drivers for Bluetooth or Wireless adapters.
- Download the drivers before uninstalling the driver if you are following the instructions for a clean installation process.
- Perform a cold reboot after clean installation of the OEM drivers.
If the issue persists, please share your system configuration so I can fully check and provide you with an accurate fix. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.
- Scan: Check the box Everything.
- Click Scan.
- Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
- Click Save (.txt)
- Attach the log file as you reply.
I will wait for your reply.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

Thanks for replying! I discovered my issue. It was a hardware failure. Either the chipset or antenna failed on the wireless card.

Hello bakenburn,
It's great to hear that you've pinpointed the problem. Diagnosing hardware failures can be challenging, but it seems like you've managed it well. I suggest reaching out to your system manufacturer's support team to explore warranty options and get advice on replacing the parts. This will help ensure that any new components are compatible and won't cause issues down the line.
I'll be closing this thread now. If you need help in the future, please feel free to submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Sincerely,
JeanetteC.
