Hi, I have been working with a Dell N5110 laptop for days. All devices are working properly, per Win7 Device Mgr. I have upgraded BIOS, and updated/reinstalled all device drivers for Intel Centrino Wireless N-1030. I can connect to the wireless network, but it is on again/off again, and when it's on, there's no internet connection. Many other devices are connecting with excellent signal strength and internet connection. The laptop is also unable to connect with mobile hotspots, but again, identifies them, but can't get out the door.
Anyone can help troubleshoot this further?

Hello BigRocks,
You can try the following actions, as they may improve wireless connectivity:
- Make sure you are using the latest driver recommended by the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html Computer Manufacturer Support, or use the generic Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7*, version 18.12:

- Go to the Advanced properties of the adapter in Device Manager and apply the configuration mentioned in the following advisory:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005544.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005544.html
- Set the power plan settings of the wireless adapter to maximum performance when plugged in and on battery:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005879.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005879.html
- Disable the Bluetooth component of the wireless adapter and check if it helps. This is normally done with a switch in the computer chassis, or a key combination.
Regards,
Jonathan

Hello James,
Please review and apply the actions mentioned in the previous post and let us know if there is any change after that.
If the issue persists, provide the driver you are using, and the OS version.
