C++ Compiler for MS Visual Studio 2022 failure

Greetings from Tennessee!

I have seen like 10 zillion posts about this, and perhaps I am not choosing the right product. But I am trying to download the c++ compiler compatible with MSVS 2022 but it keeps failing at the GDB process. I must have tried installing this 70 different ways but same result. I was able to successfully download the toolkit without the VS 2022 without any problem, but including the VS 2022 it always gets stuck at the GDB point. I have tried removing and re-installing Visual Studio, but still the same result. I am attaching the install log, but here is an excerpt where it fails. ANY help I can get would be terrific!

Thank you!

Hi Mark, could you share the exact build version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 that you are using? Please note that Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 17.2.0 is not supported by our compilers yet.

Ahh.

That’s the problem.

Build 17.2.5.

I went and un-installed it and went to 2019 last night after seeing a similar thread about this…don’t know the build version off-hand, but the compiler installed without any difficulty.

Could you tell me the latest build version that is compatible? The 2019 build seems to be working fine, but I’d love to be able to use the latest build I can.

THANK YOU for the reply!

Mark, thank you for sharing the update.

Please visit here> https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/reference-implementation/intel-compilers-compatibility-with-microsoft-visual-studio-and-xcode.html, to check the list of Intel® compilers and their compatible Microsoft Visual Studio versions. This should be able to provide you an idea regarding the compatibility of our compilers.
