Distribution of libmmd.dll

Good afternoon,

I have been trying to get to the bottom of what license applies for software that required libmmd.dll. We are planning to release some software that requires the libmmd.dll as part of the installation and I wanted to check on our obligations.

What license (if any) applies? And where can I find the details?

Apologies if this information is already available, but I struggled to find anything. I found a post on the forum that suggests it is freely distributable but that answer was from pre-2010 and I was concerned it was out of date.

Best regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your patience while we were checking on the concern with our internal team. The libmmd.dll is a multi-threaded dynamic math library for windows provided by Intel®. Intel® Math Library is included with the Intel® C++ Compiler and Intel® C++ Compiler Classic.

The Intel® C++ Compiler is a component of Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite and with the recent launch of our product Intel® oneAPI Toolkits, the Intel® oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler & Intel® C++ Compiler Classic is available with Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit and Intel® oneAPI IoT Toolkit. You may refer to the below links for reference.

Intel® oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler Link: https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/tools/oneapi/components/dpc-compiler.html#gs.42ys35
