User Bio
Kathy has been with Intel’s SSG Developer Programs Organization since 2009 when she first became involved with the Black Belt Developer Program as a Community Manager. Since then she has mentored/nominated/awarded a total of nine Black Belt developers and has taught others to do the same. As an Intel employee since 1993, Farrel’s work has included technical communication for TMG, and employee communications and community of practice management for IT. She served as technical writer on Intel’s first dual-core reference design project and founded the Intel Writers’ Guild. She co-authored 26 Invention Disclosures for Intel and co-wrote the very first .Net technical article on Intel.com. She edited two winning Intel Quality Award applications and is a Software Development Process Expert. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Loves to read, to travel and to invent things. Student of History and amateur Genealogist. Plays the flute and saxophone (but don't ask her to sing!)
