User Bio
James Reinders likes fast computers and the software tools to make them speedy. James has more than three decades of experience in parallel computing and is an author/coauthor/editor of ten technical books related to parallel programming. He has had the great fortune to help make key contributions to two of the world’s fastest computers (#1 on the TOP500 list) as well as many other supercomputers and software developer tools. James has worked for Intel since 1989, with only a 1605 day year break after his first 10,001 days (over 27 years). During his break, James contributed to a book on TBB and a book on DPC++. James returned to Intel to help developers with the oneAPI project - and help usher in the Golden Age of Heterogeneous computing, which he estimates will span 2022-2035.
