Hi everyone,

We're having this issue, any analysis shows the screenshot as attached, with a process spinning on one cpu and not doing anything.

Version: vtune_profiler_2020.2.0.610396
OS: linux centos76 

These are some of the error logs:

/apps/Linux64/intel/vtune_profiler_2020/bin64/vtune-gui: /lib64/libdbus-1.so.3: no version information available (required by /apps/Linux64/intel/vtune_profiler_2020/bin64/vtune-gui)
/apps/Linux64/intel/vtune_profiler_2020/bin64/vtune-gui: /lib64/libdbus-1.so.3: no version information available (required by /apps/Linux64/intel/vtune_profiler_2020/bin64/vtune-gui)
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/fonts.conf", line 86: unknown element "blank"
Intel VTune Profiler log directory is invalid. Security permissions are insufficient. Make sure to limit the directory access to exclude 'other' write permissions.

AMPLXE_TPSSCOLLECTOR: pytrace_tracewriter:341: (jitWriterReady) :

Hi,

 

Thanks for posting in Intel forums.

 

You can try vtune-self-checker.sh script from <install_dir>/bin64 directory.This self checker script is used to validate the installations and system setup.So try running that and let us know the result.Also make sure whether you have write permission to the path,where the result will be written.
