Is an Intel CPU necessary to run Advisor and VTune or they also work also with AMD ones? Is there any benefit in using Intel compiler to compile the code, instead of GCC, if then the application will be profiled with one of the two tools?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
>>Is an Intel CPU necessary to run Advisor and VTune or they also work also with AMD ones?
The list of supported processors is contained in the release notes. Only genuine Intel processors are supported.
Please check the below system requirements link.

We expect there will be some good runtime performance on the intel processors while using intel compilers. Please refer to the below links for more information.
Irrespective of any compiler, you can run any binary or executable on both the Advisor and Vtune.
