Failed to collect the data,or sampling collection activity is running a long time !

Dear friends:

when use the Intel VTune Performance Analyzer 8.0 for Linux*, the most strange thing is the performance counter value of some benchmarks cant be successful collected by Vtune, for example. thetotal value of IA64_INST_RETIRED-THIS event is very small,and the percent % is 0

Sometimes, the sampling collection activity is stunk, run a long time ,while there is more space available.

Hi, I am new with Vtune, so can you help me please?

I have a C++/CLI project(big) and time consuming.

I want to test it with vtune...

My question is : when running the VTune activity? which moment excatly? before runing my test C++/CLI program?

i tried it but before running the program it does not give big thnigs!!!

or during the execution of my C++/CLI program?

or do i have to laught my C++/CLI project and my test until the end then runing the activity?

because now, i d'ont know which reslut is true?
