Problem using Stop Activity button

I installed vTune v8.0. When I try to profile our application it seems to go fine, but the 'Stop Activity' button does not seem to stop the application and conversely, stopping the application did not seem to stop the Activity. Even after the application had closed the 'Stop Activity' button didn't seem to do anything. Closing vTune caused an error (attempt to read a bad memory address), Thanks for any help.

Hi:

I would consider this a bug and I recommend you submit this to technical support at Intel Premier Support. Anytime an application error occurs (i.e., "read at bad memory address"), if you can duplicate it, the problem should be submitted to Premier Support. Then, the VTune analyzer team can investigate and see if they can determine the cause.
