Hi,
I have 2 questions
1. Install vtune 8 on redhat Linux 9 fail
Machine:
1*Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GHz
1g ram
80G harddisk, about 3.7G free on /, 2096451 blocks on swap(about 2G)
System:
redhat Linux 9
kernel: Linux 02 2.4.20-31.9smp #1 SMP (For same with my servers with 2 CPUs, so use SMP kernel)
Error:
when run install.sh(using a user with root privileges), it report error like this:
./install.sh: line 152: ./secore: Input/output error
In Intel's document, that says Vtune8 support Redhat Linux 9 with kernel 2.4.20-31(http://www.intel.com/cd/software/products/asmo-na/eng/vtune/vlin/239147.htm)
2. Error when run vtune project on redhat Enterprise 4
Machine:
2*Intel XeonMP CPU 3.0GHz
1g ram
80G harddisk, above 10G free on /,about 2Gon swap
System:
redhat Linux Enterprise 4
kernel: Linux 02 2.6.11 smp
because of I didn't install x system on the machine, So I use vnc client to get a GUI interface. 1st It working, but now when start a project, It always report an error like this:
An error occured during drill-down. Cause of error cannot be determined.
and then crash
When install Linux, I installed US english and simple chinese, and use english font. after that, I changed /etc/sysconfig/i18n as set locale as en.us, but it get more fail information.

Wangji,
You should open a Premier Support case on what you are seeing:
The Intel support engineers will have more questions for you to answer.
cheers
