Whenever I start a TBS activity VTune responds with an error message in the output window: "The Sampling Collector failed to collect data because the selected event(s) did not occur". In the sampling configuration on page "General" I have to select the Sampling Mechanism. There is only one item in the combo box "TBS based on:" for selection - it is "OS Services".
I expect that a TBS is independent of any event - it is simple time based. Therefore I expect that this type of sampling has to operate anyway.
Probably my understanding of TBS is incomplete.
