I would like to try Thread Checker 3.1, but the installation does not seem to complete correctly. Specifically, it seems to hang (i.e. not return me to the shell) after printing "Please see file /gusr/alr99/linux/tc_install.log for details." (where /gusr/alr99/linux is my $HOME). Also, the tcheckvars.csh is never placed in the install directory.
I was doing a non-root, non-RPM install on Linux 64-bit.
Any idea what I should try next?

Technically, it is not supported (See the Release Notes), however, that's not to say it won't work. Can you try a 'root' install?
In the meantime, I will see if I have a 5.4 system I can try it on.
