Tuning Assistant for VTune on Linux?

Will Tuning Assistant be available for Linux as well, if not how doyou interpret the data collected(sampling) using VTune on Linux?

Great question, benedicto.tan!

There is currently no tuning assistant for Linux applications, although we know our users want it! We're probably looking at getting into the product sometime in the 2005 timeframe.

As for interpretation of the events, the REFERENCE GUIDE that installs with vtl is a really great place to start. Have you given it a look? It's default location is:

/opt/intel/vtune/doc/reference/index.htm
