VTune Performance Analyzer support for Sun HotSpot?

It is known that Vtune Performance Analyzer is supoorting on BEA JRockit. Is it supporting on other flavour of Java such as Sun HotSpot, Blackdown and Jikes RVM?

Great question! The answer: no we don't yet support the other Java flavors yet.

To see what exactly is supported, please review the Release Notes, available online at: VTune Performance Analyzer and VTune Performance Analyzer for Linux*.
For example, on IA32 systems, the Linux products supports:
  • Sun*J2SE v1.4.2 and v5.0
  • IBM*JDK 1.4.0, 1.4.1
  • BEA JRockit 1.4.2
