WELCOME!
This forum is dedicated to the folks who are using, have used, or who are about to use the NEW VTune analyzer 3.0 for Linux beta test software. If you're not sure whether this could be, or is you, consider this list of new features:
  • vtlec,a full-featured Eclipse-based VTune GUI for supported IA32 Linux versions, including wizards (although the command line version of the software, vtl, is still available)
  • FULL graphical ability to view sampling and callgraph profilng information for supported Itanium Linux versions
  • New Linux to Linux remote agents, so that you can profile your code that is running on a server other than the server you are launching the VTune command from
  • Support for newer versions of Red Hat and SuSE Linux
  • More extensive support for JAVA code
  • New, Improved installation, including "Typical" and "Custom" options

MUCH more, too! If you've been holding off to use VTune on Linux until it has a GUI, NOW is the time to register for the beta test software, download it, and start kicking the tires today.

If you don't work for Intel, this is where you go to register to get the software (fast and free):

If you do happen to work for Intel, use this URL instead:
