advisor-gui crashing after updating to 2021.2

Hi,

After updating advisor to 2021.2 version, advison-gui crashes and the message is presented:

FATAL:gpu_data_manager_impl_private.cc(445)] GPU process isn't usable. Goodbye.

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.

Some idea to solve this problem?

Hi @Mariya_P_Intel

The problem has been solved.

I changed some permissions in my system (Ubuntu Linux 20.04) and now it is working.

I was slow to respond because the forum messages were going to spam.

Thanks.

Guilherme

Hi ,

Thank you for posting in Intel Forums.

Could you please provide us the following details so that we would be able to debug your issue:

1.      System details like CPU, GPU, Kernel version

2.      Could you please check whether any crash log is being created ?

3.      Also check if advisor-gui runs as non-root user

Regards,

Raeesa

Hi,

We haven't heard any updates from you. Could you please give us the necessary details for further analysis. You can also try opening the GUI of other profilers like VTune and see whether its launching or not.

Regards,

Raeesa
