how to ???

i've hot XEON server and only shell access. I've installed vtune but... how to use? need i Xwin ? how do i uninstall? where are docs???

Hey Cosas,

Docs are located:

/opt/intel/vtune/docs/

To get started, you might start at the GETTING STARTED manual:

/opt/intel/vtune/docs/getting_started/index.htm

Also, you might want to take a look at each of the following:

$ man vtl

$ man vtlec

$ man sampling

$ man callgraph

$ man 7source # which is the same as

$ man code

$ man ActivityController

You don't need IXI to run our graphical product (vtlec); and, when you install you also get a command line version (vtl).

The uninstall binary is in the/opt/intel/vtune/bin directory.

Most of this info is in the Release Notes, which can be very hard to find if you didn't note the installation directory during install.
