install vtune failed!

install vtune failed!

hi all

I try to install the VTUNE for linux,and download the vtune package from intel's software ftp site (ftp://download.intel.com/software/products/vtune/downloads/evl/vt_cli_3.0.814_ev05.tar),

afteruntar the install files, andexecute ./install command,but installation return failed ,and said that :

"Failed - The installation of VTune Performance Analyzer 3.0 for Linux* failed."

I look the install.log ,and the error reason is described as below:

"error: %post(intel-vtune-shell_core-3.0p-816) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
"

so I suspect that install package is damaged , and download vt_cli_3.0.814.taragain,but installfailed again and returnsame error .

I feel puzzled:is it installation package error on intel ftp? or anything else ?

my os is : Redhat ES 3.0 with kernel 2.4.21-32.EL
