installation problem - trial license not accepted

I am trying to install the trial version of Vtune 8.0.4 for linux, however, I keep running into the same license issue. I enter the trial serial number and my email address, but then it gives me the error:

Unable to Register
The serial number you provided is registered to a different user account. Please verify that you have typed your email correctly.

I've tried with three different email addresses, all to the same effect. Also I've tried specifying the path to the license file, but then it says "Invalid license file".

My machine is running Ubuntu 6.10. I realize this is not one of the supported flavors of linux, but I'd like to see how/if it works before installing it on a red hat machine (a bit more of a headache for me).

There is a support team at Intel that can help you with serial number issues such as the one you have. Just go to https://registrationcenter.intel.com/support/and submit this problem along with your contact information and they should be able to get you a good serial number and license.
