"Program crashed error" when trying to do call graph profiling

I'm trying to profile a program for a call graph, and I can't get any results because it says "program crashed" in the log output. This same program runs fine if I'm just trying to do standard counter type profiling.
It also leaves the process in question "running" in the background, with no console (it's a console app).
Anyone have any ideas?

Are you using the latest version of the VTune analyzer (9.1 Update 8) on Windows* 7? Call graph is not supported on Windows 7.
