How to use STAPL Player on a low-memory embedded microcontroller?

We would like to in-circuit-program a MAX10[M25] FPGA by a microcontroller (e.g. an Atmel SAME70 with 384 kByte RAM). Therefore we would like to use the STAPL [Byte Code] Player.

We managed to use the code on a larger prototyping platform but on the real-world embedded device there seems to be not sufficient RAM (about 4MB needed?).

Is the STAPL player really that memory-consuming or are we doing something wrong? How much memory would we need for it to surely work? Is there a way to reduce RAM requirements?

Hi,

You can directly use the STAPL from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/download/legacy/jam/dnl-byte_code_player.html. You will need to modify the code for it to meet your system specification as we do not provide customization support
