Minecraft Crashing With Error Message "Intel Driver Bug"

I started having this issue a month ago, and I never had any frame drops or studders before. The game continued to run smoothly until it abruptly crashed, and these two error messages appeared. I've included a screenshot and the minecraft error.txt file below.

my PC graphic specs are:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz, 1201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
GPU : INTEL UHD Graphics
RAM: 16GB DDR4

Laptop model: HP Notebook 14s-dq1000ne

I have all of my drivers updated to the most recent versions. My Windows has been updated.

Hi _YKL,

Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing the detailed information, screenshot, and error log. To help us investigate further, could you please confirm:

  • Does the crash occur consistently after a certain amount of gameplay, or is it random?
  • Do you notice this issue in other games or applications, or is it specific to Minecraft?
  • Whether you have already tried a clean driver reinstall (using DDU) before updating to the latest version?
  • If adjusting the Minecraft settings (e.g., enabling VSync, disabling VBOs, or increasing memory allocation in the launcher) make any difference?

Additionally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.

Have a nice day!

Hi VonM
I really appreciate you helping me with this problem. Thank you!

  • Yes, the crashes are random.
  • I don't know because I just play Minecraft, but I used to play Asphalt 9, but there were some graphic glitches. I opened an Intel support page for that as well, and it's here
  • I completely reinstalled my computer, yet it continues to occur.
  • No, there is no difference. I have 8GB of RAM set allocated for Minecraft, VSync is on, and VBOs can't be disabled nowadays

As you requested, I have the SSU scan report as well.

Hello _YKL,

Thank you for sharing these details. To help me analyze the performance crashing issues more thoroughly and pinpoint the root cause, may I kindly request that you provide the Event Logs for this game? Additionally, if available, please include the dump file, as this will greatly assist in identifying the underlying issue.

Hi VonM_Intel,

Thank you for your response. I hope this is all you need to identify the root problem. I have attached a "Minecraft crash.txt" file, which was from the crash error message that occurred just before I started this whole thread. I have the crash log for this error, but I'm not sure where to get the dump file. I'll also be sharing some additional crash-report files from August 30 and August 29. I had the same issue at the time, but I assumed it would be resolved eventually. It's named "Old Minecraft Crash (1,2,3, and 4).txt."

Hello _YKL,

Thank you for sending over the crash log and additional files, this information is very helpful. I’ll need to do some further research on this matter to review the details thoroughly and determine the possible root cause. Once I have more insights, I’ll post an update in this thread so we can move forward with the next steps.

Hello _YKL,

Thank you for your patience. Upon reviewing, we noticed that you are attempting to load around 147 mods on Minecraft. To better understand the situation and provide the most accurate support, may we kindly ask you to clarify a few details:

  • What is the current Minecraft version installed on your system?
  • Which mod loader are you using to run the game?
  • Are you attempting to load all 147 mods simultaneously, or just a specific selection?
  • Could you confirm if you are a mod developer or primarily an end user installing pre-made mods?

Best regards,

Hi VonM

  • the current minecraft version installed on my system is 1.21.8 fabric
  • fabric
  • I can submit a screenshot of every mod I've downloaded. I don't have 147 installed, there may have been a misunderstanding. However, I do have 35 installed, primarily to increase performance when playing Minecraft.
  • im a guy who installs pre made mods. im not a mod developer

I hope this information is valuable to you

Hello _YKL,

Thank you for clarifying and for sharing those details about your Minecraft setup. Since you’re running Fabric with multiple mods installed, I’ll need to conduct a more in-depth isolation on my end to better understand the behavior. Once I’ve completed that, I’ll post an update here in the thread.

I appreciate your patience and the information you’ve provided so far, it gives me a good starting point.

Hello _YKL,

I appreciate your response. Before we can attempt to replicate the issue on our end, I’d like to kindly ask you to run the game without any mods loaded into the system. This will help us determine if the issue is related to the game itself or to one of the installed modifications. If the problem still occurs without mods, please provide us with the complete list of mods you are using to enhance performance. This information will help us better understand the environment and narrow down possible causes.

Hello, VonM

I tried what you suggested and played Minecraft for about twenty-five minutes without any mods because I didn't have time. I had no issues while playing, except for a few stutter when loading chunks, but when I opened Spotify to listen to music, my screen started to glitch and become blurry. When I had the Spotify window open, the screen flickered on and off whenever I moved my mouse over the spotify window. I closed Spotify, but the glitching continued only after restarting my computer, which appears to have resolved itself.

I had no trouble playing Minecraft no crashes or anything. I have my mods in two folders because I can't send them all at once due to the 23 MB file limit, and there is one mod missing it's called "AXIOM" it is a building mod that I couldn't include because it is nearly 40 MB in size.

Hello _YKL,

Thank you for clarifying and for testing Minecraft without mods. It’s good to know the game ran without crashes, aside from minor stuttering. The glitching with Spotify seems more related to a driver or software interaction than hardware, especially since a restart resolved it. As this appears to be a separate Spotify-related issue, I kindly ask you to open a new thread so we can focus on it and provide better support.

Regarding the mods, thank you for sharing the files. Since “AXIOM” is larger and couldn’t be attached, could you please upload it through a file-sharing service (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) and provide the link? Having the complete set will allow me to replicate your environment as closely as possible. In the meantime, I’ve taken note of your inputs and will post an update in this thread once I have more information about this matter.

Hello _YKL,

I hope this message finds you well.

Since the issue is only happening on the mods you are using. It means the root cause of the issue is coming from the mods that you installed.

However, let me also move this topic to a specific forum for these issues or inquiries. I will be transferring this thread for faster response.
