I’m having serious performance issues and crashes in Euro truck simulator, even though my graphics settings are only low to medium and reziable bar enabled. I’m experiencing low FPS, stuttering, and random crashes that don’t match my hardware at all.
My specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
GPU: Intel Arc B580
PSU: 850W
I’m also seeing very poor performance and occasional crashes in Apex Legends, even when running the game on almost all low settings. With these specs, I expected much smoother gameplay, so I’m unsure whether this is a driver issue, game optimization problem, or a deeper stability issue.
If anyone has advice, settings to try, or experience with Intel Arc GPUs in ETS2 or Apex, I’d really appreciate the help.

Is your RAM running at the rated 3200MHz speed? Yes.
Which PCIe slot is your GPU installed in, and is it running at PCIe 4.0 x16? It is installed in the primary slot. According to GPU-Z, it is running at PCIe x8 4.0 @ x8 4.0.
Are you using separate PCIe power cables for your GPU, or daisy-chained connectors? I am currently using a daisy-chained connector (not separate cables).
Do you have XMP/DOCP enabled in BIOS for your RAM? Yes, DOCP is enabled.
There is the .txt included aswell hope these information helps!
Hi Emre_EU,
I hope you are doing well and thanks for getting back! Upon checking, your GPU is only running at PCIe x8 instead of x16, which could significantly impact performance and you're using daisy-chained power connectors instead of separate cables for your GPU. For further investigation of the issue, please answer the following questions:
- What is the exact model/brand of your 850W PSU?
- How old is your power supply?
- What motherboard model do you have? (The SSU scan shows generic/placeholder names)
- Is your computer a pre-built computer?
- Do you have any other PCIe cards installed (sound cards, network cards, etc.)?
- Have you tried moving the GPU to a different PCIe slot?
- Do crashes occur during specific in-game actions, or are they completely random?
- How long can you typically game before a crash occurs?
- Have you tried rolling back to an older driver version?
If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,

Age of PSU: Approximately 4.5 years old
Motherboard model: ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming
Pre-built system: No, this is a custom-built PC
Other PCIe cards installed: No, only the GPU is installed
Tried a different PCIe slot: No, I have not tried moving the GPU to another slot
When do crashes occur: Crashes usually happen during specific in-game situations when there is heavy action or high load on screen, not completely random
Time before crash: It varies depending on whether I’m in more demanding/busy in-game areas
Driver rollback attempted: No, I have not tried rolling back to an older driver version
Hi Emre_EU,
I hope you are doing well and thanks for getting back! Please try to use another PCIe slot, especially the x16 slot instead of the x8 slot as it affects performance. Also, please try to rollback your graphics driver.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your response and the suggestions.
I would like to clarify that the GPU is already installed in the PCIe x16 slot, so the hardware configuration is optimal.
Per your recommendation, I have performed a clean installation of the rolled-back graphics drivers to ensure there are no software conflicts. I will continue to use the system as usual over the next few days and will monitor it closely for any further crashes.
I will reach back out in a few days to let you know if the system has remained stable.
Hi Emre_EU,
I hope you’re doing well, and thank you for confirming that you were able to follow my recommendations. Please let me know whether the issue persists or if everything is now working as expected.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to assist you.

I am very sorry for the confusion! I didn't realize the policy was strictly one game per thread.
To be clear, both GTA 5 Online and Euro Truck Simulator 2 are high priorities for me, as I’m having issues with both.
Hi Emre_EU,
I hope you’re doing well, and thank you for getting back to me. To make sure we can properly investigate the issue, could you please let me know which game you would like us to prioritize in this thread—Euro Truck Simulator 2 or GTA V?
For organizational and troubleshooting purposes, each thread can only focus on a single game. If you are experiencing issues with both titles, please create a separate Intel Community thread for the other game so we can address each one thoroughly.
Thank you for your understanding, and I’m here to help with whichever game you choose to focus on in this discussion.
