Hello,
I am trying to install ECI on Kabylake platform.
On this machine, the ECI USB boot stick is listed in BIOS boot menu but won't enter ECI install process (The ubuntu live USB is working fine with this machine.).
I have tried same USB stick on another machine and no problem.
Is there any suggestion about this?
Fail machine:
CPU: Intel i5-7500T @2.7G (Kabylake)
RAM: 8G
BIOS vendor: American Megatrends
UEFI 2.5
Success machine:
CPI: Intel i7-1185G7E @2.8G (TGL)
RAM: 16G
BIOS vendor: American Megatrends
UEFI 2.7
ECI target:
- ECI2.0 ECI-B poky
- ECI1.5 ECI-A acrn
USB boot stick : USB3.0

Hi AmandaLee,
The system you are using (Intel i5-7500T) does not meet the system requirements for Edge Controls for Industrial. Could you try it on a different system that meets the requirements?
Regards,
Jesus

Hi Jesus,
I would like to check this situation as the following:
- Why didn’t support Core i5-7500T? Because we found “IEI* TANK - TANK-870AI-i5KBL/8G/2A-R11 with Intel® Core™ i5-7500T” in Intel ECI Validated Target Systems list as the capture.
- Did ECI supported included Whiskey Lake & Coffee Lake-S in 8th Gen CPU?
- Did ECI supported included Coffee Lake-R & Coffee Lake-H in 9th Gen CPU?
Regards,
Amanda

Hi AmandaLee,
Can you share your Kabylake system info(product link)? Can you try on different USB port or use USB2 pendrive?
Can you see grub menu? If yes, can you press 'e' in 'boot' entry and add debug=7 and provide the error log?
Regards,
Lay

Hi Jesus,
The machine that I use is borrowed from other team and already returned.
I am still waiting on them to provide me again.
I will update to you as soon as I finish it.

Amanda

Would you mind if I close this discussion and we can start a new one once you get access to the system?
