PCI based I210 ethernet controller not getting detected with igb device driver

Hi,

I am using PCI based ethernet controller WGI I210 IS LJxx.

I have compiled I210 igb driver for imx6. After running this driver probe function doesnot get called, since the device ID 0x1531 is not present in the e1000_hw.h file.

After googling I came to know that DEVICE ID 0x1531 indicates unflashed eeprom and needs to be flashed with respective Device ID.

Kindly send me the source code for eepromARMtool.

Is the above solution correct? Please guide.

Hi Sujae,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

I order to Flash the Ethernet controller iNVM you need the EEupdate tool, please refer to the following FAQ questions 2.15, 2.16, 2.14

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/faqs/ethernet-controller-i210-i211-faq.... Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I210/I211 Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs] document # 335346.

Regarding to your last question, we don’t provide this tool’s source code.

Hi Jaime_Lizarme

Where can I get the "EEupdate" tool? I would like to have the "EEupdate" tool.

And when you check the #335346 document, you should be able to access #513655. Can you tell me where #513655 is?

Please guide.

Thanks for your help.
