eeupdate32 utility question

Hi Maecenas_Intel,

I am asking this question for @rpinsky .

We have been running software what used the eeupdate32 utility to write and read the mac address to the i210.  We recently upgrade software to run 64 bit linux.  So we changed to use eeupdate64e.

What we found was the that the eeupdate64e does write the mac address successfully to the i210, but when we read it back, it still has the previous mac address.  When we reboot, then we see the newly programmed mac address.  When we used the eeupdate32 utility on our older 32 bit OS, we could read back the newly programmed mac address without having to reboot.

Is there a way to retrieve the newly programmed mac address without rebooting?

Thanks!

Mary on behalf of RPinsky
