Hi,everyone
We are developing products on the Intel x6413E Elkhart lake platform.
There is an explanation of the following errata in document Number:636674.
EHL34 System Hang During G3 Exit Following RTC Reset
Problem:
Following a RTC Reset the PCH debug subsystem may enter an unsupported state if Delayed Authentication Mode (DAM) and DCI are disabled.
Implication:
The system may hang while exiting G3 and requires reflashing the system IFWI to recover.
To avoid this problem, should We add an RTC battery?
Best regards,

Hello @TOYORN,
Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.
As I understand right now, it seems that it was an issue that has been found in other families, like is mentioned in the document #655359 for example and has been fixed with a PMC update, but in Elkhart Lake it is under study yet.
Regarding your question, I have not found if it applies to coin or coinless designs, but it is more to a PMC bug, if you have any hang that may be related you can notify us.
Best regards,

Thanks Diego.
I would like to know more.
Is it possible to avoid EHL34 if I enable DAM or DCI?

Hello @TOYORN,
I'm still checking, my apologies for the delay, even for the Alder Lake S I didn't find further details, only that it is due to the PMC and that it was fixed but they didn't mentioned anything else. I would suppose that if any of the options is enabled, the issue won't happen, but again I have not confirmed this yet.
Best regards,
