Baytrail coreboot support

Hi there,

Recently Intel added support for Baytrail FSP to the coreboot project. I just have 2 questions:

1) Does this have support for Baytrail-T (eg: Atom Processor Z3735F) ?

2) If not, will this be added and if so, when should we expect a drop?

Thanks!

It should. We're going forward with the thought that our Bay Trail FSP will work on that processor.

I realize this a 4 year old post, but WOW!

I'm working on a project to see if a Z3735F-enabled device can either have a hidden CSM enabled, or else (if not present at all) if firmware can be created which adds CSM to it. The device is an Intel Compute Stick STCK1A8LFC.

I'll check into the Coreboot project now that I've seen this highly encouraging post.

I have my heart set on this and really want to get this done and have offered a $250 bounty which I will increase if needed. There are literally thousands of these on the market still in shrinkwrap.

Would make good full-function PCs for old school gamers or else low-income people if a much less resource demanding OS could be installed on them, and I mean Windows OS.

They're currently selling for $30 a piece...there are thousands new in the box and never opened 4 years after hitting the market.

I don't want to see them take their final trip to a New Mexico landfill before the box was even opened.

Thanks!

That's not a specific thread and that's why I contacted the Coreboot admins about this. I was hoping to ask a question of someone who is actually working on the Coreboot project to see if any effort is being made for the particular processor in the ICS STCK1A8LFC. My specific request would be to include Legacy/CSM BIOS. Thanks, Steve Sybesma On 2019-04-02 10:39, Intel Forums wrote: Links:

Hello Maecenas_INTEL, That's not even a coreboot forum which is what I expected. I've already been to the general ICS forums and not interested in wasting my time with that. I don't want to just talk to fellow users to see what they think. This is not about any consensus opinion I will ever accept. This is do or die. I'm extremely serious about this. I have a $250 bounty being offered and I'm also working with BIOS-mods.com I would prefer to fall in line with an existing project and contribute financially in a significant way toward the work being done. I don't expect anyone to work for free. The specific goal I have is to enable Legacy/CSM BIOS. That is my entire goal and I'm 100% fixated on that. Now please direct me to a more appropriate forum.
