HW and Firmware documentation for ATOM ISP 2 (Atom/Celeron/Pentium Processor x5-E8000/J3xxx/N3xxx Series Imaging Unit).

Dear Intel-Support,

we have started to finish the work on an ATOM ISP2 driver for the linux kernel. The work was started a few years ago, but was never finished. To be able to complete and troubleshoot the driver we would need access to the HW & Formware documentation (only to the extend, that is required for driver development). The device identifies itself as Atom/Celeron/Pentium Processor x5-E8000/J3xxx/N3xxx Series Imaging Unit with an OV2680 camera unit. It would be highly appreciated if you could help out the community with the required documents. I would be happy to sign a NDA in case those documents are confidential.

thank you and with kind regards,

Patrik Gfeller

Dear @Mæcenas_INTEL ,

thank you for your reply, much appreciated. I've requested access to Resource & Design Center (RDC), as it is not for my office work I've used by private gmail address. I hope this will work - otherwise I'll ask my boss if I can use the work mail for this.

The current driver implementation uses the following firmware for the ISP:

shisp_2401b0_v21.bin

Unfortunately we could not find this version. Can you provide a copy of the respective firmware file?

It is not exactly the same topic, so let me know if I shall open a new thread.

with kind regards,

Patrik

thank you for your help - it is much appreciated. I'll follow up regarding the documentation with RDC and send a request for the firmware via the form provided.

For me it is ok to mark the case as resolved (as I have the contact points to follow up).
