How can I get information of e3930?

Hello,

I'm searching for appropriate processors for my project, and i found e3930.

But the datasheet that i just got doesn't offer much information i need.

Please, could you offer some informations below?

I) Is there any information of throughputs(such as MIPS)?

II) Is there any information of MTBF for e3900??

Thank you.

Hello @TJAhn0 ,

I don't think that there are official documents from Intel on the throughputs. The time when Intel documented their instruction timings in their datasheets is long over. But this data is still very valueable.

There are some private persons who spend a lot of time to figure out the data. One of this persons is Agner Fog from Denmark. He is doing this for many years now so he has quite a collection. So the data from the E3930 can be compared with other processors.

The E3930 goes by the name "Apollo Lake" or "Goldmont" in his documentation:

https://www.agner.org/optimize/instruction_tables.pdf

Starting on page 406.

The document lists the instructions and gives the amout of time necessary to execute the instruction (alias "latency" with the unit "machine cycles"). It also gives the throughput with the unit "executions per machine cycle".

I am sorry that I have no data on the MTBF.

With best regards,

Gary

Hello @TJAhn0,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

To get access to documentation and tools you need to upgrade your account to Premier. Here are the instructions on how to apply for an Intel® Developer Zone Premier account.

Also, you may go to an Intel® Distributor partner and ask for the document that you need with any Intel® Sales Representative or get help in choosing a processor that fulfill your needs.
